On December 10, 2019, the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA) organizes a national conference, titled "Perspectives and Challenges to Teacher Education in the 21st Century", which is to be held at the Royal Hall, Balkan Hotel in Sofia.
The main objective of the conference is to hold a discussion on the quality of pedagogical professionals training in the higher education system in Bulgaria through the lens of the requirements of the European Guidelines and Standards, which are the basis of the accreditation procedures on the area of higher education 1. An analysis of the results of the accreditation procedures over the last 2 years, the experience of Spain and Poland in providing quality training for pedagogical professionals and the current trends in their educational policies in this direction, as well as the results of empirical studies in Bulgaria will be presented. Representatives of NEAA, of all universities preparing pedagogical professionals in Bulgaria, heads of Regional Education Departments, school directors, young teachers, students, trade unions, non-governmental organizations have been invited to participate.
