NEAA Participated in the International Higher Education Conference 2024 in Pristina, Kosovo
On September 24, 2024, the Annual International Conference on Quality in Higher Education 2024 took place in Pristina, Kosovo, organized by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA). The main subject of the conference was "Driving Excellence: Aligning Quality Assurance Policies with Institutional Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement." The conference was attended by over 150 representatives from Kosovo and partner countries, including Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and others.
During the events of the conference, institutional leaders, experts, academics, researchers, and practitioners in higher education, along with students and employers, discussed the latest trends, challenges, and practices in the strategic management of quality in higher education institutions.
The conference was opened by Mrs. Blerta Dibrani, the event moderator, followed by speeches and presentations from Mrs. Hasnija Ilazi, President of the State Council of Quality – KAA, Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci, Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation of Kosovo, Mrs. Jasna Duraković, Federal Minister of Education and Science of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Ardian Gola, President of the Committee on Education, Science, Technology, Innovation, Culture, and Sports, and Mrs. Aleksandra Zhivkovikj, Policy and Project Officer at the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR).

Prof. Eliza Stefanova, President of NEAA, participated in the first panel discussion, titled "International Insights into Quality Assurance: Practices, Challenges, and Innovations." The discussion also included Mr. Ronny Heintze, Deputy Director for International Development at AQAS, Germany, Mrs. Danijela Horvatek Tomić, Director of the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE), Croatia, Mrs. Tereza Křepelová from the Department of Quality Assurance and Evaluation at the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education, Czech Republic, and Mr. Rasim Zuferi, Director of the Agency for Quality of Higher Education, North Macedonia. The moderator of the discussion was Mr. Gëzim Tosuni, Member of the State Council of Quality – KAA.
Two more panel discussions were held on the topics "Accreditation's Role in HE Institutions' Competitiveness" and "The Role of Stakeholders in the Governance Structure of HEIs."
