NEAA and NAQA (Ukraine) Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
The National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA) and the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance of Ukraine (NAQA) signed a memorandum of cooperation during the General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), held in St. Julian's, Malta. The agreement was signed by Prof. Eliza Stefanova, President of NEAA, and Andrii Butenko, Head of NAQA. The signing was also attended by Natalia Stukalo, Vice-Head of NAQA, and Dyani Kurulenko, Junior Expert “International Cooperation” at NEAA.
The agreement marks an important step towards the development of collaboration between the two countries in the area of transnational education and quality assurance. NEAA has received numerous inquiries regarding accreditation procedures for higher education institutions from Ukraine. When such procedures are initiated in the future, they will be conducted with the support of NAQA to ensure compliance not only with European standards but also with Ukrainian legal requirements.
