NAOA took part in the ENQA General Assembly in St. Julian's, Malta

The annual General Assembly conference of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) took place between the 23 and 25 of October 2024 in St. Julian's, Malta. The event included a conference and a General Assembly session. The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) hosted the meeting and conference.

The conference featured presentations and discussions on topics such as external evaluation of research, digitalization of the accreditation process, and various other issues.

A session of the ENQA General Assembly was also held, with NEAA represented by the agency's President, Prof. Eliza Stefanova, who voted in the proceedings. During the session, elections were held for members of the ENQA Board. Kristin Vinje (NOKUT, Norway) and Heli Mattisen (HAKA, Estonia) were elected for their first terms as board members, while Patrick Van den Bosch (VLUHR QA, Belgium) was re-elected for a second term. Cristina Ghitulica (ARACIS, Romania) and Doris Herrmann (AQAS, Germany) were re-elected as Vice Presidents of the Association. Additionally, ENQA's 2025 work plan and budget were presented, along with information about changes to agency membership fees.
